About the COCWRT

The Central Ohio Civil War Round Table was established in 1989. There have been continuous monthly meetings since then. The roundtable studies all aspects of the civil war era with emphasis upon the military events and personalities that were prominent during that time. All persons with a similar interest are invited to attend our meetings and hopefully join us as a member of the roundtable, membership is not required to attend a meeting. Meetings generally last about an hour and a half with the bulk of the time being consumed by our guest speaker and then a question and answer period that follows. Dress is casual and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly to all. Ages range from young teenagers to quite a bit older than that. All levels of knowledge are represented within our group, we have published authors, Civil War Preservation Trust Color bearers and board members, prominent book collectors and of course quite a few folks who know a lot about the war and many who don’t know that much. All gather once a month in the common pursuit of a greater understanding of this important era in our history. Below you’ll find everything that you need to know about the roundtable.
